Q. What does a time lapse video project involve?
A. Every project presents a different set of challenges but usually involves the following four stages:
- Site assessment visit and induction.
- Prepare relevant equipment.
- Assess, create and submit RAMS.
- If required we send the approved script to the voiceover artist for recording.
- Compile titles and logos. Select appropriate music.
- Install the cameras in the pre-determined positions.
- If required we can move or add cameras as the project progresses.
3. Post production
- Remove all equipment from site.
- Process the thousands of image files and then 'stick' them together to form time lapse sequences.
- Select the 'key' footage from these time lapse sequences, removing all the uninteresting and unusable footage.
- Editing-combine this footage with the voiceover, titles, logos and music to form the "rough-cut" edit. This is posted securely on line for all stakeholders to review.
- We act on your feedback, creating the final edit in format requested (wmv. mov. etc).
- Upload or embed the film within web sites and social media.
- We can host the high definition video for you, ensuring that your customers always see the very best high definition quality.
Q. How much does a time lapse video cost?
A. This depends on the complexity of your brief. How many cameras do you need and for how long? These are the main drivers regarding cost. Once we have assessed your requirements we will compile a fair, cost effective estimate. Our estimates are based on what we think is the most cost efficient way to execute your project. Q. Can I have 24/7 remote live site monitoring?
A. Yes, immediately after one of our site cameras takes a photograph the image is transmitted (via 4G) to our secure server. These images are then available to view on a secure on line portal straight away. Clients can securely download photographs and view time lapse videos of their project 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This easy to use on line dashboard enables unlimited access to your project using smartphones, tablets or desktop computers.
Q. How quickly can you install the cameras on site?
A. Once we have received a PO and completed booking form we can install the cameras within few days. We would usually make a site visit prior to installation so we can assess the project and submit the RAMS.
Q. How quickly can we see an edit?
A. Within a few days..we usually supply monthly progress edits of the work done on site. We can upload the first 'rough-cut" edit within days of processing the first months time lapse image files. Once we have received your feedback we will then create your final edit. On very complicated projects we do offer an on-site editing service. We can come to your office and hone the final edit to your liking on the spot.
Q. Are you safety accredited and insured?
A. Yes we are qualified and insured to work on busy construction projects. We have a wealth of construction industry experience spanning over 20 years.
Our staff are safety accredited to work safely in most industrial environments. We have the training, experience, and certifications to work safely virtually anywhere.
We always produce and review Risk Assessment Method Statements for our work, and we never take risks with the safety of our team or others.
If required, we can quickly arrange extra insurance cover for certain specialist locations (i.e airports). We are your trusted partner in any location.
Q. What standard is the quality of the video?

Q. Can you help me with scriptwriting and a commentary?
A. Often overlooked but this is a very important element of your video that needs to be addressed early on in the project. A script defines the message you want to communicate, and also re-enforces and helps emphasise the images seen on screen. The 'bones' of your script can usually be found in your existing company literature or web site. We can help you adapt this for your video or alternatively we offer a scriptwriting service. We work closely with numerous highly skilled voiceover artists.
